What was the highlight of Ilio Mare Hotel Prinos
Good but not 5 star
Great location and value for your money. Good buffet for breakfast and Dinner. Suite was very spacious for our family. 2 minute walk to the beach was a nice plus! staff was very nice, and our front desk clerk when we checked was great. He was very friendly and helped us in English and taught us a bit of Greek. Honestly all the staff was nice!
Overall I'd say this is 4 star for sure, but not a 5 star. Our bathroom door handle was clearly aged and much to my suspicion was on the verge of breaking. It seized and locked my son and wife in on day 2. The hotel staff were very fast in fixing it, so big plus to them! The buffet was good, but lacking in options especially Greek inspired dishes. I appreciate they cater to many international travellers so the lack of diversity makes sense I suppose. I do wish they kept the coffee machine going through the day. Coffee at the bar was expensive and that little piece would have been a nice touch. Pool was outdoors but definitely not heated at all. Ice cold. I thought maybe as it was open and October it would be a bit heated, but nothing! So we swam briefly, but it was way too cold. The sea was actually warmer(In October!). Also Towels for the beach/pool were hard to come by. We made it a game with the kids to find them lol. it's off season, so I get the amenities aren't as plenty as on season, but honestly for a 5 star, the experience should never change regardless of Season.

Great place for a nice vacation
Cleaning is done on daily basis. Hotel location is great, right in front of of the beach and very close to the village.
No improvements in the bedrooms. We’ve visited 8 years ago and haven’t seen any improvement on the room. The bed in the room was broken and making lot of noise when laying down. No outdoor activities reservation from the hotel and no kids animation.

Amazing accomodation at Ilio Mare Hotel
We enjoy a lot our stay at Ilio Mare Hotel in September, 2024. The room was large, very clean and the beds were very confortable. The terrace has a beautiful view to the sea and we had the most beautiful sunsets ever seen. The staf was very attentive to every detail.. The meals were excelent, very various and tasty. The beach is very close to the hotel and very clean.Thanks for the amazing holliday in Thassos!
Everiything was OK! Maybe some greek musik in the evenings would be appreciated.
